If you ever bought a newspaper you'd see Brian's actual journalism. You can't complain about what you read for free - which is written to be read by those who aren't paying for it. The sheer quantity of dross they have to write is to counteract the lack of paid paper sales.
I wouldn't go about things that way, I'd rather the Mail had a paywall. But I won't criticise a journalist for doing what their editor asks in response to people expecting to be able to read journalism for nothing.
