Big club, little club - the maths (5 replies)
Here's my starter for ten, based on nothing at all and with very little thought. So where a club has a maximum possible score of 100%, I would weight it by these categories:
Place in the league table averaged over last ten years (20%)
Place in the league table averaged over last fifty years (15%)
Average attendance over last ten years (20%)
Average attendance over last fifty years (15%)
Trophies won over last ten years (20%)
Trophies won over last fifty years (10%)
This is roughly based on the idea that big clubs have big crowds, do well in the league and win the odd trophy. So near 100% might be a Barcelona.
