Thats like saying all badminton players should be good boxers because they both us their arms.
Respect to anyone who does a marathon, especially to raise money for a charity.
He shouldn’t necessarily be good, but he should run under 4 hours.
Behotr you
I can run a half marathon in 1.40 no issues. In fact I do it quite frequently.
Please can you tell me what my marathon time should be because I've always wondered and you seem to be the SHA expert on long distance running and physiology in general?
Before you worry about running I suggest you develop a sense of humour. But since you asked,
1) how old are you?
2) are you a man or woman?
3) have you ever been a professional athlete?
4) how many miles a week was the 1.40ish based off?
51, male, no, 20.
P.S. If I develop a sense of humour will you work on finding some brains?
I think the personal insult is a bit much, but anyway.
I’d say you could comfortably run 3.30 if I can get that 20 miles a week nearer to 40. Typically I’d say for men (half marathon time*2) + 15 mins is achievable. So 1.35-1.37 should have you in 3.30 shape. Very correlated to base mileage though.
I'm too old and lazy to train for a marathon so we'll never know...
Btw how come it's ok for you to insult me but I can't do likewise?
