My friend Nick was quite complimentary about him:
"Very unlucky at Leeds. Was amazing in the Championship after we bought him off the Albion, bagged about 10 goals and was a real handfull even though he was only about 20 at the time, but was injured for most of the promotion season. So when he got his next chance it was thrown in at the deep end in the Premier as a result of injuries, and you could see he was struggling to adapt and his confidence dipped. Pulled from the front line he was then used more as an impact sub with 5-10 mins when we were chasing games. Then another injury and the QPR loan that started OK before another injury.
If you can keep him fit and he can get a couple of goals early doors you've got a really good striker on your hands"
