I’d assume that ‘bazball’ is how we’re going to be playing test cricket in the future given Stokes and McCullum gave the counties a guide on the ethos of it. If you want to bat for England at the moment you clearly have to be able to score at a high rate which imo is the wrong way to approach the 5 day game, hence me thinking it will set English cricket back in the long term.
Duckett has been fantastic there’s no denying that, if he’s still averaging 50 after a couple years of playing for England then fair enough but I have my doubts his approach will be successful in the long term.
