Re: Electric / hybrid / petrol cars
KHTRasputinSome of those 'facts' are very dodgy.
Which ones and in what way are they dodgy?
I'm genuinely interested as I'm currently considering making my first venture into the EV market but I'm wary of some of the claims and counter claims being made at the moment by various parties.
EVs are less likely to catch fire than ICE vehicles

My experience with an EV (Kia e-Niro) has been that it’s cheaper to run and nicer to drive than any other car I’ve had. The real life range is about 240 miles so the downside is that you sometimes have to stop for 30-45 mins on a long journey to re-charge. If you don’t do a job that means you have to do regular long distance journeys then, when you step back and think about it, that’s really not much of a personal sacrifice for the sake of getting your emissions down.
