Monday, part of the broader withdrawal from the region that was ordered by President Donald Trump ahead of a Turkish incursion. Some analysts say the U.S. retreat from parts of Syria creates a vacuum for countries like Russia, with Russian President Vladimir Putin set to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayiip Erdogan Tuesday for high-stakes talks on what happens next in Syria.  VOA

Other analysts claim that the minimum number of troops Would have been fodder for an unstoppable Turkish incursion. Troops guarding with Turkish troops at border, were not Equipped to solve the decades old problem between the two warring factions and would become fodder during the fighting.
For the Kurds, the U.S. support which emboldened them into believing statehood was possible, then withdrawal of troops was the symbol of abandonment of allies.
