Private Security Parishioners Kill Gunman in White Settlement Church Shooting that left two parishioners dead
43-year-old Keith Thomas Kinnunen, a River Oaks man with a criminal record, believed to have been wearing a disguise, including a fake beard, was sitting in the congregation, then stood up and pulled out a gun and opened fire inside the church, killing 64-year-old Anton Wallace, a church deacon from Fort Worth, and 67-year-old Richard White, of River Oaks, NBCDFW reported—
Members who had volunteered to provide church security killed him before he could kill any more innocent churchgoers.
Kinnunen was arrested in 2008 on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Fort Worth, according to court records, the Star-Telegram reported.
The FBI along with local law enforcement are investigating as to how he obtained the firearm and what his motives might have been.
