Minnesota National Guard: 1,000 additional Citizen-Soldiers and Airmen are activating today; Secret Service Quells Protestors at White House
More than 1,000 additional Citizen-Soldiers and Airmen are activating today. This is in addition to the 700 that were on duty as of late last night. This represents the largest domestic deployment in the Minnesota’s National Guard’s 164-year history.

Troopers and officers worked to clear the area around 31st and Lake Street in Minneapolis to enforce Gov Polis’s executive order instating a curfew from 8 PM till 6 AM Friday and Saturday.

Demonstrations continued despite Gov Watz announcement of the arrest of Former Officer Chauvin, whose “actions were horrific. His arrest is a good first step toward justice for George Floyd. But it doesn’t change the systemic problems and persistent inequities that led to his death or the pain our communities live with every day. We’re committed to change,” Gov Watz
Shots were fired at law enforcement officers near the Fifth Precinct during the operation. No troopers or officers have been injured.
Meanwhile, demonstrations were launched at the White House, with the Secret Service being called in. “The professionally managed so-called “protesters” at the White House had little to do with the memory of George Floyd. They were just there to cause trouble. The @SecretService handled them easily. Tonight, I understand, is MAGA NIGHT AT THE WHITE HOUSE???” Donald J. trump tweeted.

Demonstrators took to the streets Nation wide, including Denver, Georgia, NYC, LA, Louisville and other cities where looting and violence resulted in arrests as well as injuries of protestors and police officers.
