Inherent Resolve “Fight to Win”….What???
Since 2014, many nations have flown coordinated anti-ISIS air support missions in designated areas in Iraq & Syria. The Coalition remains partnered with the ISF & SDF to #DefeatDaesh. Together, we are a lethal combination against Daesh. Inherent Resolve reporting.
The Coalition forces routinely conduct military patrols to support #SDF efforts to rid NE Syria of the terrorist threat & make the region safe & secure. Earlier in April, #Asayish and #SDF Special Units conducted successful operations in #Tel_Brak and #Thiban. Two #ISIS members were detained, one a Commander in charge of a cell.
Throughout Iraq and Syria, operatives hide out in caves and set up moveable or cells and tunnels . To prevent a resurgence of Daesh & promote security, the ISF launched an op to clear the MNT range surrounding LK Hamrin in Diyala. 5 terrorists were killed, 10 hideouts, 3 TUNLs, 2 VEHs, a tractor, a TLR, IEDS & mortar rounds were destroyed, & a MTRCL was seized.
12 April is one of dozens of examples: To prevent a resurgence of Daesh & promote security, the ISF launched an op to clear the MNT range surrounding LK Hamrin in Diyala. 5 terrorists were killed, 10 hideouts, 3 TUNLs, 2 VEHs, a tractor, a TLR, IEDS & mortar rounds were destroyed, & a MTRCL was seized.
Today, another successful op for our #SDF partners, w/the Coalition’s support, to deny Daesh influence & resources — a terrorist facilitator was arrested by #Asayish in Tel Tamer. The SDF remains prepared to deter Daesh threats & bring stability to NE Syria. #DefeatDaesh
A terrorist facilitator has been successfully detained by the #Asayish (#Internal_Security_Forces) in Ob Altina, #Tal_Tamer countryside. Air surveillance support was provided by the #International_Coalition.
In April @CJTFOIR & our partners completed 40 operations against #Daesh, preventing 45 terrorists from committing acts of terror against the people of Iraq and Syria.
Terrorism & extremism are among the most dangerous threats to the security & stability of communities. @iraqicts efforts to stem the flow of radicalization & undermine Daesh propaganda have led to over 26,000 Daesh-affiliated accounts being terminated
A big mission nets some ammo and mortar rounds.

Progress highlights in Iraq and Syria
SOUTHWEST ASIA – The Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve and its partners remain united in a long-term, international mission to create enduring security in Iraq and northeast Syria to enable stabilization activities and humanitarian assistance.

When Daesh captured Mosul in 2014, it had devastating effects on the city, significantly affecting the lives of women and children.
Since 2015, to help people get back on their feet, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has provided livelihoods support to 90,000 Iraqis in the liberated areas of Anbar, Diyala, Kirkuk, Ninawa and Salah Ad-Din.
For 42-year-old Wansah who lives in al-Hermat neighbourhood in west Mosul, it has been a difficult journey to pick up after the liberation in 2017.
Through the cash-for-work opportunity to clear rubble and support the rehabilitation of Mosul city which is implemented by the UNDP’s Funding Facility for Stabilization with support from Germany, Wansah and other women were able to pay back debts caused by war and support daily expenses for their families. The project focuses on giving emergency income while restoring community infrastructure
