Update: Fire Gen. Milley Immediately: Biden Admin, DOD splitting?
The Afghan withdrawal fiasco investigation is seeing a fissure between DOD and Biden with the Commander in Chief and the Generals, with all having shown a united front previously. And Secdef Austin has even a different story than the Generals.
This is after Milley had warned the Chinese officials of a message from a voice in his mind, blinded by hatred and twisted by Pelosi’s demented obsessions, that told the General that Trump was going to blow up the world.
Statement by Joint Staff Spokesperson: Chairman’s conversations with Chiefs of Defense Across the World
The following statement is attributable to Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler:
“The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs regularly communicates with Chiefs of Defense across the world, including with China and Russia. These conversations remain vital to improving mutual understanding of U.S. national security interests, reducing tensions, providing clarity and avoiding unintended consequences or conflict.
His calls with the Chinese and others in October and January were in keeping with these duties and responsibilities conveying reassurance in order to maintain strategic stability. All calls from the Chairman to his counterparts, including those reported, are staffed, coordinated and communicated with the Department of Defense and the interagency.
Also in keeping with his responsibilities as senior military advisor to the President and Secretary of Defense, General Milley frequently conducts meetings with uniformed leaders across the Services to ensure all leaders are aware of current issues. The meeting regarding nuclear weapons protocols was to remind uniformed leaders in the Pentagon of the long-established and robust procedures in light of media reporting on the subject.
General Milley continues to act and advise within his authority in the lawful tradition of civilian control of the military and his oath to the Constitution.”
Former acting SecDef Christopher Miller, who led the Pentagon from the period after the 2020 election through Inauguration Day, said that he “did not and would not ever authorize” Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley to have “secret” calls with his Chinese counterpart, describing the allegations as a “disgraceful and unprecedented act of insubordination,” and calling on him to resign “immediately.” Fox news reported.
President Trump was the only President in decades that had no desire to start a war and did not. Yet the deranged Pelosi and compromised Miley were on a witch hunt to demonize him as the madman. The overblown 6 Jan Insurrection in their minds mobilized Americans. They refuse to let their obsession go, despite the fact that Trump in documented tweets had called for no violence and the FBI investigatiin denied a plot ever existed.
A blockbuster book, Peril, by Washington Post’s Bob Woodward and reporter Robert Costa claimed that Gen Milley told Chairman Xi that he would warn him if Trump was about to pull the nuclear trigger.
Supposedly according to the charges in the book, Milley called his counterpart Gen Li around the 6 January Capitol event, warning “General Li, I want to assure you that the American government is stable and everything is going to be okay. We are not going to attack or conduct any kinetic operations against you……General Li, you and I have known each other for now five years. If we’re going to attack, I’m going to call you ahead of time. It’s not going to be a surprise.”
Senators respons:
“I don’t care what you think of President Trump, the Chairman of the JCOS working to subvert the military chain of command and collude with China is exactly what we do not accept from military leaders in our country. He should be court martialed if true, ‘ Sen Rand Paul.
“Couple that with his inept handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan, and it is clear General Milley is no longer fit to serve as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and should be removed immediately.”
Dear Mr. President:
I write with grave concern regarding recent reporting that General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, worked to actively undermine the sitting Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces and contemplated a treasonous leak of classified information to the Chinese Communist Party in advance of a potential armed conflict with the People’s Republic of China (PRC). These actions by General Milley demonstrate a clear lack of sound judgement, and I urge you to dismiss him immediately.
It has been reported that General Milley spoke with his counterpart in the People’s Liberation Army after learning the PRC was worried about escalating tensions as a result of military exercises conducted in the South China Sea. Reportedly, General Milley told his counterpart: “[y]ou and I have known each other for now five years. If we’re going to attack, I’m going to call you ahead of time. It’s not going to be a surprise.” I do not need to tell of you the dangers posed by senior military officers leaking classified information on U.S. military operations, but I will underscore that such subversion undermines the President’s ability to negotiate and leverage one of this nation’s instruments of national power in his interactions with foreign nations.

Even Alexander Vindeman made demands that if the accusations are true;, Milley needs to resign:
“If this is true GEN Milley must resign. He usurped civilian authority, broke Chain of Command, and violated the sacrosanct principle of civilian control over the military. It’s an extremely dangerous precedent. You can’t simply walk away from that,’ Vindeman tweeted
The spin in Milley’s defense is that Milley was so concerned that the bombastic Trump could start a nuclear war that Milley needed to preempt it to save humanity.
From CNN “Woodward and Costa also write that ‘some might contend that Milley had overstepped his authority and taken extraordinary power for himself,’ but he believed his actions were ‘a good faith precaution to ensure there was no historic rupture in the international order, no accidental war with China or others, and no use of nuclear weapons.'”
