TuttoMercatoWeb journalist Marco Conterio has revealed that Tottenham offered AC Milan the chance to sign Tanguy Ndombele as part of a deal to bring Franck Kessie to North London.
Ndombele looks set to seal a return to Lyon, two and a half years on from leaving the Ligue 1 club to join Spurs.
According to reports, the midfielder is now having his medical before completing a loan move to the Groupama Stadium (Fabrizo Romano).
Meanwhile, Kessie was reported to be on Tottenham’s radar this month but the Ivory Coast international allegedly turned down the chance to leave San Siro in January as he prefers to leave as a free agent in the summer (CalcioMeracto).
Conterio has now taken to social media to reveal that Spurs made one last gasp attempt to sign Kessie by offering Ndombele to Milan.
However, the Rossoneri are said to have turned down the proposal from Antonio Conte’s men.

Spurs Web Opinion
One certainly cannot fault Tottenham’s effort or ambition in this window. Apart from trying to get Kessie, the club also reportedly tried their best to sign both Diaz and Traore, only for the pair to chose Liverpool and Barcelona respectively (Telegraph).
So, while some Spurs fans might be underwhelmed by the impending arrivals of Kulusevski and Bentancour, Tottenham certainly seem to have tried their best to get Conte’s first-choice targets in.
