According to El Nacional, Tottenham Hotspur have already struck an agreement to re-sign Gareth Bale in the summer after his contract with Real Madrid runs out.
Bale has not been of much use to Carlo Ancelotti this season after his return to Madrid in the summer due to a series of injury problems (Transfermakrt).
There have been some rumours over recent months that the Welshman might call time on his footballing career soon (The Sun).
El Nacional have now revealed that while Bale has seriously considered retiring, the winger is prepared for one final adventure back at Spurs.
The report reveals that Tottenham wanted to retain the 32-year-old at the end of his loan spell back in North London last summer but they decided against it due to the player’s financial demands and Nuno Espirito Santo not being in favour of the signing.
However, it is asserted that Antonio Conte is interested in bringing Bale back to Spurs for a third spell.
El Nacional assert that the Lilywhites already struck an agreement with Bale several months ago and the Wales international only chose against returning to the club in January as he wanted to collect the salary owed to him by Los Blancos for the final six months of his contract.

I can see Daniel Levy and Bale both being in favour of this move, particularly since the player did not get to play in front of Spurs fans due to Covid-19 restrictions last season.
However, I am not sure if Conte will want to sign the Welshman. It seems unlikely that Bale’s body could cope with the Italian’s demands both in training and during matches.
