According to the Evening Standard, Harry Kane is thought to be ’50/50′ on whether he should remain at Tottenham or push for an exit.
It has been another frustrating season for the Lilywhites, with Nuno Espirito Santo having been relieved of his duties just four months into the job.
While Antonio Conte came in and Tottenham showed improvements under the Italian, they have now hit somewhat of a wall, losing the past three Premier League matches in a row.
The Standard claim that Kane is not yet sure what he wants to do with his immediate future, with 50% of him wanting to stay at Spurs and 50% wanting to leave.
The report implies that his choice will be influenced by three things: whether he thinks he can win a trophy at Spurs, Conte’s future at the club, and whether the Italian is backed sufficiently in the summer transfer market.
However, it is added that Kane is not currently interested in starting negotiations over a new Tottenham contract.
Spurs Web Opinion:
If Daniel Levy and co went out of their way to hire Conte, a here and now proven winner, then fail to back him in the summer, it has to go down as an awful hire. The time has now come for Spurs to prove to Conte and Kane that they are serious. Give them the tools to win!
