Lucas Moura has insisted that Tottenham have no time to dwell on the defeat to Brighton as they attempt to secure Champions League qualification.
Spurs, who had been creating loads of chances and been rampant in front of goal over the past couple of months, astonishingly failed to register a single shot on target against the Seagulls on Saturday.
While the away side did not create too many clear-cut chances themselves, a late defensive lapse from the Lilywhites allowed Leandro Trossard to capitalise and give Graham Potter’s men all three points.
Conte did roll the dice in the second half with the introduction of Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn and Harry Winks but Spurs were unable to prise open a disciplined Brighton midfield and backline.
Despite their defeat, Tottenham still maintained their three-point lead in fourth place as Arsenal also fell to a 1-0 loss at Southampton.
However, Manchester United’s win at Carrow Road has brought the Red Devils right back into the race for Champions League qualification.
Moura admitted the players are disappointed at the performance but called on his teammates to not dwell on the result and focus on putting in a better display against Brentford.
The Brazilian told The Athletic: “We are all disappointed. It was a very bad game and we didn’t play well at all. We need to learn from these kinds of games. There is no time to cry. Let’s go for the next game.
“The top four is still possible and it is our objective. We can’t lose our minds now, we can’t lose our head, because we played really well the last few games.
“We look at the table but we knew the fight would be until the end. We need to fight, we need to work hard for the next game.”

Brighton deserve credit for the way they played but this is not the first time that Conte has been hesitant to change things despite us struggling to open up the opposition defence.
I expected us to press Brighton high up the pitch right from the start of the second half but the Italian decided to continue with a mid-block, presumably because he was concerned about conceding a goal on the counter-attack.
As it happened, we conceded one anyway and lost the game. Perhaps we would have been rewarded had we showed more bravery without the ball and put the Brighton players under pressure.
