Ryan Sessegnon has insisted that he would not swap Harry Kane or Son Heung-min for any player in world football.
Son is having his most productive season in front of goal since arriving at the club back in 2015, with the South Korean’s brace against Leicester taking his tally to 19 strikers in the Premier League to go with his eight assists (Transfermarkt).
The 29-year-old is only three behind Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot, having two more non-penalty goals than the Egyptian (Sporting News).
After a slow start to the season, Kane has also been back to his best since the turn of the year, having amassed 23 goals and nine assists across all competitions (Transfermarkt).
Tottenham’s next opponents Liverpool are certainly not short of attacking talent in their ranks, with Jurgen Klopp having the likes of Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz to call upon.
When asked if he would swap Kane or Son for any of Liverpool’s attackers, Sessegnon told Football.London: “No way, no way. The two players we have in the team are world-class and we wouldn’t swap them for anyone.”
When asked if it makes the team’s job easier to have two world-class goalscorers up top, the England Under-21 international responded: “Of course, much easier. They can do special things on the ball and you saw that again today.
“Sonny assisted H again and their combination they’ve had ever since playing together is unbelievable. Consistent over the last six or seven years, they’ve been doing it at the top level and the numbers speak for themselves.”
Sessegnon insisted that Son remains underrated since he is a down-to-earth character off the pitch.
He added: “100%. It’s hard to know why he is underrated because consistently season after season his numbers are there. “I think it’s because he’s such a down-to-earth normal guy, he’s not an arrogant person and he’s just very friendly with everyone. That’s probably why.”

Kane is arguably the most complete number nine in the world alongside Karim Benzema. I certainly would not swap him for anyone. However, if I am honest, I do think Salah has more to his game than Son does.
While one can argue that the South Korean is a better finisher than the Liverpool star (as his expected goals stats show), Salah is a much better ball-carrier and is more likely than the Tottenham man to create something out of nothing.
