It is already one month into the season, and Tottenham is currently unbeaten. Although they ended August with a disappointing draw against West Ham, the 11 points through five matches sees them third in the table and on pace for a Champions League berth for next season.
Here are predictions for the three Premier League matches in the month of September, and how many points Spurs will have at the end of the month.
Saturday, September 3: vs. Fulham
Despite being one of the three newly promoted sides in the Premier League, Fulham has managed mostly positive results thus far in the campaign.
They opened with a 2-2 draw against Liverpool, then picked up another point versus Wolves. Fulham then won matches against Brentford and Brighton, with a loss to Arsenal sandwiched in between. With eight points through five matches, they currently sit seventh in the table.
This will be a difficult game for Tottenham, even though the match is in North London. Fulham has shown early on they can be competitive, while Spurs have notoriously dropped points to lesser teams in the past.

Prediction: Spurs 1, Fulham 1
Saturday, September 10: at Man City
Last season, Spurs took all six points from the Premier League champions.
Through five matches this season, City is unbeaten and coming off a 6-0 thrashing of Nottingham Forest. With a league-best +14 goal differential already, this team should be the favorite to win the Premier League once again.
Oh, and that Erling Haaland guy they signed? He’s scored nine goals in five games, highlighted by back-to-back hat tricks against Crystal Palace and Forest.
Prediction: Man City 3, Spurs 1
Saturday, September 17: vs. Leicester City
To say the Foxes are struggling early in the season is an understatement. They currently sit at the bottom of the league table, recording just one point through four matches.
From a club that won the FA Cup just 15 months ago and competed in a European semifinal last season, the possibility of being in a relegation fight seems unthinkable.
Spurs need to take advantage of a struggling side in this match. It is also at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the final match before the FIFA window, so a win would be valuable in building momentum before the international break.
Prediction: Spurs 2, Leicester City 0
After the match against Leicester, the Premier League takes a two-week break for international matches.
Final analysis
Playing just the three league matches in a shorter month, I expect Spurs to win one, draw one, and lose one. That would give the team 15 points through 8 matches. Not the worst start, but not the best either. They should still be in the race for the top four, but if City and Arsenal continue to pick up three points at a time, Tottenham might be falling out of the title race rather quickly.
