Tottenham head into the break against Eddie Howe’s side currently losing 2-0.
Hugo Lloris: Claimed to have been fouled by Wilson for the opener but in reality, the Frenchman needs to take accountability for another mistake when he should have volleyed the clearance. Could he have done better for Almiron’s goal? 4.
Emerson Royal: Did well to recover against Joelinton after being guilty of allowing him to get in behind. A nice nutmeg on former Gunner Joe Willock but again, limited in attack. 6.
Davinson Sanchez: Named on the right of the defence for the injured Romero, always a nervy moment when he is in possession. 5.
Eric Dier: Guilty of a couple of silly mistakes creeping into his game in recent weeks, saw a backpass go inches past Lloris’ post. 6.
Clement Lenglet: His lack of pace against Wilson is a concern, which Almiron fully exposed for Newcastle’s second. 4.
Ryan Sessegnon: Has had plenty of the ball down the left but has been unable to find the right pass. 5.
Rodrigo Bentancur: Has shown plenty of bite to win the ball and lots of pressing from the Uruguayan. Booked for dissent. 5.
Oliver Skipp: Making his first start in nine months and started the match brightly by getting involved in counter attacks. 5.
Yves Bissouma: Played as the middle of the three midfielders, unable to impact the game. 5.
Heung-min Son: Had his first glimpse of goal inside the opening minute. Will have felt he should have put his side ahead when he latched onto a Kane pass. 6.
Harry Kane: Played a brilliant ball to set up Son. Denied by the leg o Pope just before half time. 7.
