According to a report by Sport Bild, part of the Bayern Munich hierarchy are ‘unconvinced’ by the prospect of signing Harry Kane next summer.
Kane’s current deal with Spurs runs out in the summer of 2024 and reports in the British press over recent weeks have indicated that the striker is open to discussing a new contract with the north London club when the time is right (Ben Jacobs).
Meanwhile, Germany publications continue to link the England captain with a move to Allianz Arena, with TZ even claiming last month that Bayern would be prepared to pay over €100m (£86.2m) to sign the 29-year-old next summer.
However, this has now been contradicted by Sport Bild, who state that the Bundesliga giants are ‘split’ over whether or not to launch a move for Kane. It is alleged that some Bayern insiders believe that the Tottenham man does not suit the club’s style of football.
Spurs Web Opinion
Kane is not ideally suited to Julian Nagelsmann’s high-pressing style but there is no doubt that the Tottenham man will score plenty of goals at Bayern. However, I do not think he would consider leaving the Premier League. If Conte signs a new contract at Spurs, I fully expect the 29-year-old to follow suit.
