90 min have claimed that former Arsenal number one Wojciech Szczesny has been offered to Tottenham Hotspur.
There has been plenty said and written about Hugo Lloris’ future at Spurs on the back of the Frenchman’s high-profile errors this season.
Some pundits have argued that it is time the North London club look beyond the 35-year-old if they want to compete for major honours (The Telegraph).
The likes of Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak (Evening Standard), as well as Premier League trio Jordan Pickford, Illan Meslier and Robert Sanchez (TEAMtalk) have been mooted as potential replacements for the Tottenham captain.
90 min have now suggested that the Lilywhites have been handed the chance to sign Szczesny, who made 181 appearances for Arsenal before moving to the Serie A.
The Poland international, who has been Juventus’ number one since 2017, is said to have been offered to Antonio Conte’s men by intermediaries.
However, the publication adds that Spurs are not actively looking to sign Szczesny and the Old Lady are not desperate to sell the 32-year-old in January.
Spurs Web Opinion
Any replacement for Lloris would have to be a long-term option like Meslier or Sanchez, who can potentially be our number one for the best part of the next decade. Szczesny, at best, has a couple of years of football left at the top level, and so the Juve star is unlikely to be an appealing option for Spurs.
