Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison returned to Hotspur Way yesterday after the World Cup, and shared a photo on his Instagram of a motivational sign Antonio Conte has put up at the training ground for the Tottenham players.
Richarlison arrived back in North London after Brazil’s exit from the World Cup on Friday, and got straight back into the swing of things by turning up at Hotspur Way ahead of schedule.
Unfortunately, the early return is not necessarily due to Richarlison’s desire to get going again, but more to do with the fact he is nursing a hamstring injury sustained in the warm-up for Brazil’s quarter-final tie with Croatia (Evening Standard).
The 25-year-old is back with his club to undergo scans on the injury and assess the damage ahead of the resumption of the domestic season. It is hoped Richarlison can be back on the pitch soon and pick up where he left off at the World Cup in Qatar where he scored three goals for Brazil (Transfermark).
There is one positive of Richarlison being back at the training facilities for his medical issue, though. Thanks to his social media account, we got a glimpse of the ways Antonio Conte motivates his players behind the scenes.
On Richarlison’s Instagram story, he shared a photo of a handmade sign which bears the signature of Antonio Conte.

The sign reads: “We start to win, then we see the way.” We have seen plenty of Conte on the sidelines and in press conferences, but this is a fascinating insight into his methods away from the pitch.

This has a touch of the Ted Lasso about it, doesn’t it? Is this Conte’s way of telling the players to trust the process? I think so, and I love the fact he has handmade the sign, too, which makes me think he had a brainwave one day and really wanted to write it down and get it up in the dressing room as soon as possible.
