TalkSPORT journalist Alex Crook has revealed that Arsenal also have their eye on Tottenham Hotspur target Leandro Trossard.
Trossard has taken his game to a new level since the start of the season, with the winger already providing ten goal contributions in 16 Premier League appearances across 2022-23 (Transfermarkt).
The Daily Mail revealed over the weekend that the Belgian’s impressive displays at the Amex this season have brought him to Tottenham’s attention while Football Insider subsequently revealed on Monday that the Lilywhites had made a verbal offer for the attacker which had been turned down by the Seagulls.
Crook has now taken to social media to state that Tottenham’s interest in Trossard is ‘genuine’ but the journalist denied claims that any offer has been made for the player so far.
He also asserted that Brighton have taken up the option to extend the former Genk man’s contract until 2024 and added that Antonio Conte’s men could face competition from their North London rivals.
Led to believe #THFC interest in Trossard is genuine. No firm bids yet. Is under contract until 2024 after #BHAFC triggered a year's option as revealed on @talkSPORT last week. Im told #AFC also monitoring developments. No interest from Graham Potter and #CFC at this stage.

The interesting thing to consider about the reports of Tottenham’s interest in Trossard is the fact that the Belgian prefers playing on the left and is not nearly as effective in the opposite flank.
That suggests that Conte potentially views the 28-year-old as cover for Son Heung-min, which, in turn, could mean that the Italian think Bryan Gil is ready to serve as Kulusevski’s main backup on the right side.
