Tottenham have had to deal with plenty of bad news on the injury front over the last week, none more so than Rodrigo Bentancur’s ACL injury in the clash against Leicester City.
The Lilywhites confirmed on Monday that the Uruguayan will undergo surgery and is expected to miss the rest of the campaign.
It was revealed last week that fellow midfielder, Bissouma, would need to have an operation on his ankle injury. It has now emerged that Mali international is expected to be out of action for almost two months.

In addition, Spurs will also be without Hugo Lloris for six to eight weeks after the Frenchman injured his knee ligaments in the 1-0 win over Manchester City (Telegraph).
Meanwhile, Ryan Sessegnon sustained a hamstring injury in training in the build-up to the clash against Leicester and is also expected to miss six weeks of action (Football.London).

Losing Bissouma for an extended period at the same time as Bentancur comes as a major blow. However, this does present an opportunity for Oliver Skipp to show that he belongs at the top level.
It is worth remembering that the 22-year-old was one of our most consistent performers in the first half of last season before he picked up a groin injury. There is no reason why he cannot hit the same heights again if he gets a run of matches under his belt.
