Antonio Conte has named his Tottenham Hotspur side which will take to the field in this evening’s Champions League clash against AC Milan in the first leg of the round of sixteen tie.
Spurs are in the midst of a midfield crisis with the influential Rodrigo Bentancur having been ruled out for the rest of the season after the midfielder ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in the defeat at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Yves Bissouma is also injured having undergone surgery on his ankle last week while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is unavailable due to a 0ne-match suspension after picking up three yellow cards earlier in the competition to compound the club’s woes in the middle of the park.
Captain Hugo Lloris is out for at least six weeks with a knee injury and left-wing back Ryan Sessegnon also misses out through injury with yet another hamstring issue.
Milan ended a run of seven games without a win by narrowly beating Torino on the weekend with Conte, the former Inter boss going up against his old rivals with the aim of at least keeping Spurs in the tie until the return leg in north London early next month.
Spurs have never lost this fixture previously on both occasions, when they faced the Italian giants in the 1972 UEFA Cup and 2011 Champions League.
