The Times have claimed that Tottenham’s managerial target, Julian Nagelsmann, ‘appears to prefer’ a move to Chelsea over the North London club.
It was reported by Football Insider last week that Nagelsmann remains Spurs’ top target to replace Antonio Conte.
It was asserted that the Lilywhites are prepared to do anything in their power to snap up the German and they believe that qualifying for Europe would give them an advantage over Chelsea in the race for the 35-year-old.
This report came a few days after an update by Fabrizio Romano, who said on his YouTube Channel on April 4 that the Blues had already contacted the departed Bayern Munich boss, who had shown interest in taking over at Stamford Bridge
The Times have now claimed that Nagelsmann still remains Tottenham’s ‘favoured choice’ to replace Antonio Conte at the end of the season.
However, the publication suggests the indications are that the former RB Leipzig boss would be more inclined to take the Chelsea job.

It appears as if one of the reasons both Tottenham and Chelsea have opted for an interim head coach is that Nagelsmann has told both clubs that he would not make a decision on his future until the end of the season.
Both clubs seemingly believe that they have a chance of getting the German, which might be why they are not making any concrete moves for other candidates.
