Football Insider have claimed there is a ‘good chance’ that rumoured Tottenham target, Marcel Sabitzer, will complete a permanent switch to Manchester United this summer.
Sabitzer has excelled since his loan move to Old Trafford in January, and The Daily Star reported a couple of days ago that his performances had caught Tottenham’s attention.
The publication claimed that Spurs, Aston Villa and West Ham United would be prepared to make a move for the attacking midfielder if Man Utd decide against pursuing a permanent deal for him.
It was alleged that Bayern Munich would be willing to sell the former RB Leipzig man for around £30m.
However, Football Insider’s latest update comes as a blow to Tottenham’s pursuit of Sabitzer, with the outlet stating that Erik Ten Hag has been pleased with the midfielder’s performance and wants to sign him permanently.
The report adds that the player is also happy at Old Trafford and is pushing for a move to the Red Devils.
With all parties wanting the deal to go through, it is asserted that there is a ‘good chance’ that Sabitzer will make the switch Manchester in the summer.
Spurs Web Opinion
Given how well Sabitzer has adapted to the Premier League since his switch in January, United were never going to pass up on the opportunity to sign him permanently, especially for the modest fee being reported.
Perhaps, Spurs would try to convince the Austrian that he would have a better chance of getting regular starts under his belt in North London than he would at Manchester.
