Sport have now revealed that Barcelona would be willing to sell Tottenham target Ansu Fati for €70m (£61.5m) this summer.
Fait has fallen down Xavi Hernandez’s pecking order this season and multiple Spanish outlets have reported over the last few weeks that the forward has emerged as a target for Spurs ahead of the summer (Fichajes.net).
It was subsequently suggested by Mundo Deportivo (13/04/23 via Sport Witness) that the 20-year-old was not too keen on leaving Camp Nou despite interest from Tottenham.
However, Sport have now claimed that Barcelona have decided to cash in on Fati since the club need to raise funds this summer in order to make moves for their top transfer targets.
The report asserts that the Catalan giants are listening to offers for the forward and that the player’s agent Jorge Mendes has assured the club that he will fetch an offer of around €70m (£61.5m) for his client this summer.
The publication adds that such an offer is most likely to come from the Premier League and would be enough to convince Barca to sell Fati.
Spurs Web Opinion
Fati is undoubtedly a promising talent but he is not worth anywhere near £60m.
There is very little value in that deal for such a price, especially considering that Tottenham already have Son and Richarlison, who are both adept at playing off the left, which is where Fati is at his best.
