Ben Davies has revealed that he and his Tottenham teammates have been extremely impressed by Pedro Porro and suggested that it is only a matter of time before the Spaniard consistently delivers for the Lilywhites.
Porro has not had the easiest start to life at Spurs, with the right-back coming to the club at an extremely tumultuous time.

However, he has already shown signs of just why Tottenham paid such a big fee to snap him up, showcasing his brilliant crossing ability and attacking flair.
The 23-year-old produced a pinpoint cross for Harry Kane to head home in the win over Crystal Palace on Sunday, which was his second assist for Spurs to go with his two goals in 12 Premier League matches so far (Transfermakrt).
When asked about how Porro has settled into life at Spurs, Davies told Football.London: “Pedro is still a young player.
“We know the intensity and scrutiny of the Premier League – you make one little mistake and it’s highlighted for the world to see.
“Look, we all know how good a player he is. We’ve seen it on the training pitch. When you iron out those mistakes I think we’ve got a top player on our hands.”
When asked if he has tried to take the former Sporting Lisbon man under his wing and help him settle at the club, the experienced defender said: “I’ve tried to.
“Sometimes, when you’re new to the club and the Premier League, you probably feel a lot of demand – especially when it comes to the transfer fee – to try to impress.
“Sometimes it’s about making sure you do the basics and do the simple things right first. I think he did that today. He defended well and then when he got the opportunity he was good.”
Tottenham are currently languishing in seventh place in the table, with Champions League football looking out of their reach.
That has prompted some fans to wonder whether it would be preferable not to have the distraction of Europe next season rather than playing in the Europa League or the Conference League.
However, Davies insisted that it is vital for Spurs to be in Europe next season, irrespective of what competition it is.
The 29-year-old remarked: “Our aspiration is to play in European football and be involved in as many competitions as we can.
“We have the squad, we have the number of players, so it’s probably necessary that we are. Our aim is to go as far as we can in every competition. Any European competition is important for us.”
Spurs Web Opinion
There is no doubt that Europa League remains a prestigious competition and the tournament promises some big European nights if we go into the latter stages.
However, the same cannot be said of the Conference League, which is why I would not mind seeing us miss out on the latter.
