Ryan Mason has provided a team news update to journalists who have attended Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-Brentford press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.
Mason continues to face the media in his role as interim head coach with the former midfielder looking set to see out the remainder of the season in charge with just two Premier League fixtures remaining.
Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the clash against Thomas Frank’s side.
Both teams are pushing for a place in Europe next season with Tottenham realistically needing a victory to keep alive their hopes of a Europa League place alive ahead of facing Leeds United on the last day of the campaign.
Tottenham are already without Hugo Lloris and Ryan Sessegnon who had already been ruled out for the run-in, while Eric Dier was also absent for last weekend’s disappointing 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa.
Mason told the pre-match press conference from the club’s training ground this afternoon as quoted by Charlie Eccleshare: “A few are touch and go for the weekend but we’re in a good place.
“We had a couple that didn’t make the squad last week (Dier and Tanganga). We’re assessing them day by day.”
