The Independent have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have ‘seriously looked’ at a potential move for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani this summer.
Kolo Muani has excelled since leaving Nantes to join Frankfurt last summer, with the centre-forward having netted 23 goals and provided 17 assists in his first season in Germany (Transfermakrt).
The Independent state that the French international’s performances have caught the attention of several clubs, including Tottenham, Bayern Munich and Manchester United, all of whom have allegedly considered moving for the player.
However, the report claims that Paris Saint-Germain have moved into pole position to snap up Kolo Muani, with the Ligue 1 giants said to view him as the ‘ideal’ fit for the profile of number nine they are looking for.
It is asserted that Luis Enrique’s men have managed to convince the 24-year-old that a return to his home country would be the best move for him at this stage of his career.
The Independent add that while Frankfurt value Kolo Muani at around £100m, PSG believe that a deal can be struck for £80m.

Tottenham might have looked at Kolo Muani as a potential replacement for Kane in the event that the striker leaves. However, the 29-year-old now looks increasingly more likely to stay and run into the final year of his deal.
The big challenge for Spurs in replacing Kane would be that there are only a handful of number nines who can fill his shoes (such as Osimhen and Kolo Muani) and they are not likely to be open to joining a club that is not in the Champions League.
