Former Tottenham Hotspur front man Lucas Moura is still seeking a new club ahead of the new season and São Paulo still hold out hope of signing him, according to Brazilian news outlet UOL.
Moura left Tottenham at the end of last season after the North Londoners decided not to offer him a new contract following five years at the club and his preference was reportedly to remain in Europe rather than move back home to his native Brazil (Goal Brazil).
No suitable European offers for Lucas Moura
Unfortunately, suitable offers from European clubs have not flooded for the Brazilian international and is now instead said to be reviewing approaches from the USA and the Middle East.
São Paulo, however, want to bring their former player back to the club on a short-term deal until January with a view to him being able to move on should he wish, at the start of 2024.
Moura signed a five-year deal when he joined Spurs from Paris Saint-Germain for £25m in 2018 and scored 38 goals in 219 appearances for the club across all competitions (Sky Sports).
