Fabrizio Romano says Bayern Munich remain confident that they will be able to push through a deal for Harry Kane despite not meeting Tottenham’s valuation as of yet.
Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe both flew to London to meet with Daniel Levy on Monday regarding Kane but it was reported by David Ornstein that the two clubs are still £25m apart in their valuations of the England captain.
This was also backed up by Sky Sports’ Football Daily, who suggested that not only is there a distance between the two clubs on the transfer fee but Tottenham are also pushing for a buy-back clause to be added to the deal.
Bayern remain confident of landing Harry Kane
Romano has now painted a more rosy picture for Bayern, claiming that the Bundesliga side are still ‘confident’ despite the fact that they do not see eye-to-eye with Spurs on the valuation of Kane.
The journalist added that the Bundesliga giants are ready to bid again and submit a package close to €100m (£85.5m) for the 30-year-old striker.
He explained that the German club are prepared to put off their pursuit of a new goalkeeper for the time being in an effort to push through a deal for Kane.

Levy should make it clear to Bayern that there is a deadline for the Kane negotiations, beyond which the striker is simply not for sale this summer.
With the campaign now just two weeks away, the uncertainty over the striker’s future would undoubtedly disrupt Postecoglou’s plans.
