BILD have claimed that Bayern Munich are now optimistic about reaching an agreement with Tottenham regarding Harry Kane, partly because Daniel Levy is not as angry at their tactics now as he was earlier in the summer.
The report states that the parties are still €20m (£17.1m) apart in their valuations following the meeting that Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe had with the Tottenham hierarchy.
However, there is said to be growing belief and confidence that a deal can be reached as the parties ‘appreciate each other’.
Daniel Levy has calmed down after Bayern tactics
In fact, it is said that Levy’s anger at Uli Hoenes’ ill-advised comments earlier in the summer ‘seems to have been resolved’.
Another thing that allegedly adds to Bayern’s optimism is the fact that Kane himself has made it clear to the Lilywhites that he wants the transfer.
However, Bild add that the England captain might not be a Bayern player in time to play a part in the Supercup clash against RB Leipzig on August 12.
Spurs Web Opinion
There now appears to be a willingness from all parties to agree on a deal sooner rather than later. I expect some concrete development on Kane’s future by the end of his week.
