The Independent have claimed that Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain could both make late moves for Harry Kane if Bayern Munich continue to take their time in completing a deal.
It was reported by Fabrizio Romano recently that even though Bayern have not been able to meet Tottenham’s valuation for Kane, there is optimism about the deal at the German club, who are now expected to make an offer of €100m (£85.9m) for the striker.
However, The Independent have now stated that while Bayern feel they are getting closer to a deal, there is still a ‘huge difference’ between the two clubs and, Daniel Levy will not accept anything less than £100m for his star man.
While Bayern are hoping to bring the fee down to around £90m, the Tottenham chairman might not budge, and the saga could thus go on for weeks.
It is explained that this might open the door for PSG and Man Utd to enter the fray over the coming weeks.
The report states that while Kane has no interest in joining the Parisians, the Red Devils could legitimately challenge Bayern for the 30-year-old’s signature.
Spurs Web Opinion
I do not think United are going to be in a position to sign Kane now that they have spent big on Rasmus Hojlund.
If Bayern are not able to meet Tottenham’s valuation of the striker, he will likely end up staying in North London. However, I do expect the two clubs to come to a compromise sooner rather than later.
