Fabrizio Romano has revealed on his YouTube channel (starting at 2:41) that his sources have guaranteed that Harry Kane’s proposed transfer to Bayern Munich is still very much on.
It was widely reported that Bayern made a final offer of €100m (£86.5m) offer for Kane last week (Sky Sports), with the Bavarian club allegedly setting midnight on Friday as the deadline for the transfer (Telegraph).
However, it was subsequently reported by BILD that Daniel Levy ignored the deadline and instead chose to go on holiday to Miami.
Deal for Harry Kane remains on for Bayern Munich
Romano has now also said that Levy is yet to respond to Bayern’s latest offer, with the Spurs chairman thought to be taking time to make a final decision on it.
The journalist stated that Bayern are ‘irritated’ by the fact that their stipulated deadline has been ignored but the deal is not yet dead into the water.
In fact, Romano adds that there is still some optimism at the Bavarian club that they will still be able to get the deal for the England captain over the line.
Spurs Web Opinion
I fully expect some sort of breakthrough in this deal for the next couple of days. The fact that Spurs have not yet rejected Bayern’s third offer as they did with the German club’s two previous bids, suggests that the North London club are seriously considering the latest proposal.
