Summer signing Ashley Phillips has been spotted being put through his paces in a gym session along with his Tottenham team-mates in the latest training video released by the club on the social networking platform X.
There have been some positive developments in the injury front over the last few days, with Brennan Johnson, who went off with a head injury against Nottingham Forest, expected to feature against Everton after being spotted training with the squad (Sky Sports).
There have also been some promising updates regarding two long-term absentees, with Football Insider reporting recently that Ryan Sessegnon and Micky van de Ven are expected to be back in action in January.
Ashley Phillips is on the comeback from injury
Meanwhile, Phillips, who joined the North Londoners from Blackburn Rovers has been out with an ankle injury since last month’s international break.
The 18-year-old is yet to make his senior bow for Spurs but has been named on the bench by Ange Postecoglou on more than one occasion prior to his injury issues.
It appears the teenager is now not too far away from a return as he was seen warming up in the Hotspur Way gym along with the rest of the Tottenham squad.

Udogie’s suspension for the clash against Everton could mean that Ben Davies shifts to left-back, which could in turn open the door for Phillips to start alongside Romero at centre-back if the 18-year-old is passed fit.
However, that is quite unlikely as Postecoglou will probably prefer to bring the more experienced Emerson Royal into the starting eleven in place of Udogie.
