Tottenham Hotspur are through to the fourth round of the FA Cup thanks to a 1-0 win over Burnley in North London. Let’s take a look at how the individual players got on:

Guglielmo Vicario – 7.5 – No matter whether it is a quiet game or a busy one, Vicario always remains concentrated and stands up when Tottenham need him to. Very impressive quality.

Pedro Porro – 8.5 – What is there to say? When you rocket the winner into the top corner when Spurs were struggling to create chances, you deserve the MOTM award!

Emerson Royal – 8 – Calm and composed at the back for the majority of the 90 minutes. We must remember that he has such little experience in central defence too, which makes it all the more impressive.

Ben Davies – 7.5 – Much like Emerson, he did the simple stuff well tonight. The work these two have got through out of position should be commended, and remembered come the end of the season.

Destiny Udogie – 8 – A real bright spark down the left side for Tottenham tonight. He caused Burnley all kinds of problems and always seems to find the right pass. Such an exciting talent!

Rodrigo Bentancur – 8 – Seemed a little more understated tonight in the pivot role with the captain’s armband. But when he turns on those dancing feet, boy does he turn them on. He reminds me of a Mousa Dembele-type player when he glides past people in midfield.

Oliver Skipp – 7 – The pros and cons of having Skipp in an advanced role – he presses better than most and runs for you all day long, but he lacks some of the quality needed to make teams pay in the final third.

Giovani Lo Celso – 7 – Didn’t quite hit the heights of his performance against Bournemouth, but you always get 100% from Gio on and off the ball.

Brennan Johnson – 8 – Gave the Burnley right-back a nightmare game from the first minute. Took his man on for fun and got the better of him more often than not. Put in some lovely crosses and almost scored with a curling effort.

Richarlison – 7 – Always made himself available for the ball to feet, trying to bring others into play. The times he did spin in behind, he scuffed the ball wide with his weak foot. A selfless effort tonight.

Dejan Kulusevski – 7 – A willing runner on the right side of attack. Didn’t quite get the same amount of joy as Johnson on the other side, but wow does he get through some running each game.

Substitutes: 

Bryan Gil – 6.5 – Came on for Lo Celso in the 58th minute and looked a bright spark on the left.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – 6 – A little erratic with some of his passing that almost got Spurs into trouble, but also did a decent job during his 20 minutes on the pitch.
