According to Sunday’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness), Tottenham have made a proposal for Radu Dragusin through intermediaries but are yet to launch an official offer for the centre-back.
The report backs up what we heard from other sources by explaining that contacts between Genoa and Spurs continued through the weekend.
Tottenham make £23m offer for Dragusin
It is alleged that Tottenham ‘presented an offer’ of around €26.6m (£23m), thus demonstrating that they are ‘taking things seriously’.
It is explained that this offer was made through ‘lateral channels’, which Sport Witness take to mean that it arrived to the Serie A club through intermediaries.
The outlet says that the Italian side is now waiting for the North London club to make an official move for the 21-year-old centre-back.
The publications add that while Napoli also remains in the picture for Dragusin, they suggest that the reigning Serie A champions are unlikely to be able to compete with Tottenham’s financial muscle.
Spurs Web Opinion
The reports emanating from Italy over the last 48 hours suggest that the Dragusin deal is very much on track, with Tottenham and Genoa now seemingly moving closer to an agreement.
With the Werner deal now appearing to be done, one would expect Spurs to a make defining blow in their pursuit of the Romanian within the next day or two.
