Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has said that Tottenham Hotspur are far from Antonio Nusa’s only admirers, with the Lilywhites allegedly trying to see off competition from Premier League rivals as well as clubs across Europe to land the winger.
Earlier today, it emerged that Tottenham are now locked in talks with Club Brugge over Nusa, who has emerged as one of the most exciting attackers in the Belgian top flight over the last 18 months.
It has been widely reported over the last 24 hours that Brugge are holding out for €30m (£25.7m) for the winger and want him to remain at the club until the end of the season (The Athletic).
Spurs have plenty of competition for Antonio Nusa
Gold has now said that Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, along with several other big clubs across the continent, have registered an interest in Nusa over the last 12 months.
However, he says that Ange Postecolgou’s men are now trying to ‘edge to the front of the queue’ to land the Norway international, who is thought to be attracted to the idea of playing in England.
Gold says that it would take a fee in the region of £30m (plus a loan back) for Tottenham to seal the deal for the 18-year-old.
Finally, the journalist adds that Nusa ticks ‘several boxes’ for Postecoglou, with the Aussie coach said to like the youngster’s temperament and work ethic.

While some might feel that £30m is a steep fee to pay for a youngster who has only had 12 good months in the Belgium top-flight, it is clear that Nusa has a very high ceiling and is potentially on the verge of exploding.
I would not be surprised if a couple of more clubs now get involved in the race for the 18-year-old after hearing of Tottenham’s advances for the player.
