Tottenham Hotspur sorely missed the presence of Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie at the weekend when they fell to defeat against Wolves. A new report from The Standard offers some insight into when the pair will be back, as well as an update on Manor Solomon, Ryan Sessegnon, and Fraser Forster.
Ange Postecoglou had the luxury of selecting from an almost fully fit squad a couple of weeks ago, but that didn’t last long. Last week it emerged both Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie had been added to the injury list for the Lilywhites.
According to comments from Postecoglou in The Athletic, the defensive duo are likely to be out for roughly two weeks, with a return to action lined up for the game against Crystal Palace on March 2nd.
Second-choice goalkeeper Fraser Forster has also picked up a fairly serious injury, while Ryan Sessegnon and Manor Solomon remain sidelined.
When are Tottenham’s injured players back?
Now, the latest update on the five players comes from The Standard, who reveal when we can expect them all to be back in the Spurs lineup.
It is thought Destiny Udogie will indeed be back for the Palace game at the start of March, with no further complications to his situation.
Porro, however, may have to wait until the week after, with a March 10th clash against Aston Villa more likely for his comeback. It is “not believed to be a serious issue” for the Spaniard, but he is “more of a doubt” than Udogie when it comes todo the Palace fixture.
The problems continue to pile up for Sessegnon, who had been back in training last week, but he has since pulled up with another injury during a game for the Under-21 side on Saturday. The left-back completed just 35 minutes before leaving the field, and his current return date is unknown.
Good news is on the horizon for Manor Solomon, though, who has been missing since the end of September. A return for the Villa game on March 10th is being eyed for the winger.
And finally, Fraser Forster could well miss the majority of this season now. With a fractured foot, it is thought the keeper will be out until late April.
Spurs Web Opinion
I really hope both Udogie and Porro are back for the Palace game, because their absence was huge on Saturday against Wolves. Having Solomon back soon will be a boost too, though I’m not even sure he makes our bench now.
