Ange Postecoglou is a popular man right now, and Miguel Delaney has suggested the Spurs boss could end up being offered the top job at Liverpool, Barcelona, or Bayern Munich this summer as a managerial merry-go-round lies ahead.
When Ange Postecoglou was named as the new Tottenham manager last June, eyebrows were raised. Despite winning trophies everywhere he has gone, the Australian was new to the Premier League and many were concerned he would be out of his depth.
They needn’t have worried, of course. Postecoglou has transformed Spurs from top to bottom, in terms of style of play, transfer strategy, and the general mood around the club.
The Lilywhites are now in fifth place in the league and have a great chance of qualifying for the Champions League, despite pre-season predictions of a mid-table finish.
Postecoglou may be headhunted in the summer
The summer ahead is going to be a fascinating one, with various top managers vacating their current roles, feeding speculation that managers like Postecoglou, Roberto De Zerbi, and Xabi Alonso will be plucked for new opportunities.
In his latest newsletter for The Independent, journalist Miguel Delany has predicted big decisions and lots of attention for Postecoglou, with Liverpool, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich all looking for new coaches.
He wrote: “The situation may also put Ange Postecoglou in an interesting position. He has transformed Tottenham Hotspur, and that has also piqued a few of these clubs. The Australian may well be in a situation where he suddenly has three approaches from wealthier clubs, but would it be too soon to leave? Those interested will certainly test that.”

I keep saying it, and I really hope I’m right, but there’s just no way Postecoglou would be interested in ditching this project after a year in the role. He’s building something special, and attention from a so-called bigger club is not going to get in the way of that.
