In what comes as a potential boost to Tottenham in their pursuit of German wonderkid Boris Mamuzah Lum, it has now been announced that the teenager has changed his representation to CAA Base.
Lum is considered the best young talent in Hertha Berlin’s academy, having caught the eye with his performances for the club’s youth sides over recent years.
BILD reported last month that Spurs had been alerted to the 16-year-old’s talent and had stepped up their interest in securing the teenager.
In fact, it was alleged that the defensive midfielder, who has a release €5m (£4.2m) release clause in his contract, had even visited the Hotspur Way training facilities and had attended Tottenham’s clash against Bournemouth at the end of December.
Lum changes representation to CAA Base
Lum has now signed with the famous agency, CAA Base, who have an excellent relationship with the Tottenham hierarchy.
The report points out that the likes of Heung-min Son, James Maddison, Pape Matar Sarr, Pedro Porro, Dane Scarlett, Jamie Donley, Yago Santiago and George Abbott are all represented by the same agency.
The publication suggests that the German’s decision to sign for CAA Base could thus open the door for Spurs to swoop for him.
Spurs Web Opinion
CAA Base are one of the biggest agencies in the world game and Tottenham are not the only ones who have a good relationship with them.
Having said that, the fact that Lum has visited the training ground and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a good sign and one would expect the Lilywhites to look to vie for the teenager’s signature next summer.
