Football Insider report that Tottenham Hotspur are one of a whole host of Premier League sides plotting a summer move for Leeds United starlet Archie Gray.
Since breaking into the Leeds starting eleven at the start of this season, Grey has become a fixture in Daniel Farke’s midfield and is continuing to develop impressively.
The versatile defensive midfielder, who has also operated as a right-back on a couple of occasions this campaign, is now thought to have caught the eye of a number of Premier League clubs.
Tottenham could face competition for Archie Gray
Football Insider points out that Ange Posteocoglou is eager to strengthen in the middle of the park this summer and has set his sights on the Leeds youngster.
However, it is revealed that Spurs are not alone in their admiration for Gray, with the likes of Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Everton also thought to be keen on him.
In fact, the report alleges that Leeds are expected to be bombarded with a number of offers for the 18-year-old this summer should they fail to win promotion.
However, the publication asserts that the Whites have not given up hope of tying Gray down to a new deal and are expected to offer their academy graduate a contract soon.
Spurs Web Opinion
Spurs need reinforcements in the number six role this summer and one can understand why Gray is of interest to the club, given his age, high ceiling and homegrown status.
However, with Leeds looking favourites to win promotion, I would not be surprised if the teenager pens a new contract at Elland Road.
