I have ‘zero boxes checked’ when it comes to my summer body but I’m still going to rock swimwear – women say I’m ‘goals’
WHILE for most, the thought of summer inevitably provokes long days at the gym, one woman said she’s accepting her body for what it is.
She’s not checking off any of the traditional boxes for a hot girl summer and she doesn’t care.
Savannah Belle (@savannahbellexoxo) admitted that for her, summer came out of nowhere this year, meaning she’ll be trading in her bikini for a whole piece.
In a video, the young blonde sang along to Snoop Dogg’s lyrics from Katy Perry’s California Girls: “Toned, tanned, fit, and ready.”
As the words came on the screen, however, she added X marks next to each of them to demonstrate that she was not, in fact, any of the above.
Wearing sweatpants and a hoodie that concealed her entire body, she made light of the situation by humorously dancing proudly to the beat while pointing at her mid-size figure.
Savannah’s caption further proved that she didn’t take her body too seriously: “Check zero boxes, but still a slay.”
Viewers loved her confidence, with some saying they were in the same boat.
“Girl, goals,” one person wrote.
“You could have checked off ready… Ready to leave no crumbs!” applauded another.
“Same girl, we out here though,” a third encouraged.
A fourth wondered why they couldn’t wear sweats at the pool, and a fifth said it was “one piece szn” – two comments that Savannah agreed with.
And others couldn’t help but point out that the next part of the lyrics, “Turn it up because it’s getting heavy,” were indeed fitting.
“Me: getting heavy,” one wrote, to which Savannah added: “No but me too. Life comes at ya fast!”
