Flat-hunters horrified at tiny room in London warehouse with bare floors & ladder up to bed listed for £680 a month
FLAT-HUNTERS have been left horrified by a tiny room in a London warehouse with bare floors and a ladder up to the bed – which is listed for £680 a month.
The room in Clapton, east London was advertised to renters on Facebook Marketplace this week – with one lucky resident set to live with “six other creatives”.

The only furniture in sight are a plastic chair, a small dusty rug and a yellow mattress hanging over the edge of the sleeping area.
Spatters of white paint are visible on the floor and door of the flat, with two bare lightbulbs the only source of light.
The advert for the flat reads: “Private room for rent. Mezzanine room in our shared warehouse in Clapton.
“Living with 6 other creatives, 3 bathrooms, roof terrace and gym/cafe downstairs and lots of plants.
“£680pm + 4 weeks deposit.”
The flat’s three bathrooms come with bare brick walls and wooden ceilings.
One flat-hunter said: “I didn’t know there were favelas in London for £700.”
It comes after a mum said her flat is so mouldy that she can put her hand through the wall – forcing her to share a bed with her 26-year-old son.
Another woman was horrified after she found a rat climbing out of her toilet – but her landlord said she was lying.
A third woman revealed how she was left speechless by her landlord’s bizarre rent request – but people are divided.
