Noel Gallagher buys new West London flat and boasts about famous rock star neighbours
MOST newly single blokes who get the chance to own a posh bachelor pad want to deck it out in the smartest way possible.
But not Noel Gallagher.
The High Flying Birds rocker has been busy filling his new West London pile with funky but tasteful Seventies furniture and art.
Noel bought the luxury flat after his split from his wife of 12-years, publicist Sara MacDonald, and is now in the middle of doing it up.
He explained: “I bought a new house in London, a new apartment. I’m living around Maida Vale.
“What I’ve been doing the last few months is furniture-shopping.
“Finding vintage furniture is what I like to do at the moment. There’s a website called FirstDibs, which is great.
“I like Seventies furniture. I’m getting into the Seventies thing.
“Not like shag pile rugs and carpet on the walls but really cool Italian stuff, it’s amazing. It’s going to give me something to do on my days off on tour.
“Find out where the cool furniture shops are to pick things up for my new house.”
Noel previously owned an infamous party house in North London dubbed Supernova Heights, named after 1996 Oasis hit Champagne Supernova.
The property had the name etched into the glass above the front door and became known for its parties thrown by Noel and then wife Meg Mathews.
Guests included Kate Moss, the Sex Pistols and The Charlatans.
Noel later sold the gaff to funnyman David Walliams.
The rocker moved out of London in 2019 when he and Sara moved from the capital into a rural pile in Hampshire.
But now he’s back in his old stomping ground and it seems Noel is enjoying being back in the thick of the action.
He said of living in trendy Maida Vale during an interview in Germany: “There’s Chrissie Hynde, Paul Weller, Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols, Adam Clayton from U2.

Queue for milk
“I run into Glen quite a lot because he goes to the cafe which is on the way to the pizza restaurant that I go to. He goes, ‘Alright mate, do you need a bass player?’
“I’m like, ‘No, I’ve already got one’.
“I see Weller a lot, I see Chrissie from time to time. But I guess I’m the most active.
“I think I’ve seen Weller in the supermarket once. I’m always the one in the queue buying milk.”
I know you like the Seventies now, Noel, but quit queuing for milk.

CARDI’S A MINT IMPERIAL
CARDI B’s outfit was in mint condition as she partied with her rapper husband Offset in Atlanta.
The WAP singer wore a green top and trousers which she matched with her Birkin bag at the State Farm Arena.
It was the first time Cardi had been photographed in public after revealing to her fans she was considering doing a Miley Cyrus and not touring her upcoming album.
Talking live on Twitter, Cardi said of her upcoming new era: “I have to do so much travelling. And I hate travelling.
“I never normally have fears but every time I get on an aeroplane I get anxiety.”
She added: “Knowing I will have to do a lot of travelling is overwhelming – my schedule is just filled with stuff. But I’m fine, I’m just overwhelmed.”

IT is a miracle Anne-Marie can sing as well as she does, after being tricked into licking battery acid as a child.
The musician told Jessie Ware on her Table Manners podcast: “There was brown liquid on the side. My sister was like, ‘Lick that . . . It’s Coca Cola, can you lick it?’ So I licked it, it was battery acid!”
She added: “My tongue sizzled and I ran to my mum but I didn’t tell her why, until secondary school, and she was like, ‘You could’ve died!’”
BACK TO BIZ, ADELE
FANS have been forking out thousands to watch Adele perform at her Las Vegas residency.
But it turns out she gave some lucky holidaymakers and bar staff a free front row tickets during a holiday to the Dominican Republic.
The Someone Like You singer made the confession as she returned from a ten-week break from her Weekends With Adele stage.
Adele told the audience: “I went to the Dominican Republic for the first time. I am going back every year. I loved it. It is probably my favourite vacation.
“It was purely relaxing. One night I did karaoke for nearly four hours.”
Laughing, she added: “I got a bit frightened. I was hoarse. I didn’t speak for two days afterwards.
“Another time I did an all-nighter, which I am too old to do now. I went to bed at 9am.
“I can’t do that any more. It is fun to go out on a big one. But never again.”
Adele, who turned 35 during her break, also revealed she took secret trips to Miami and Palm Springs with her pals.
She said of returning to the Coliseum for the next leg of her hugely popular residency: “All week I had just been buzzing and right then I was stood right there [behind the curtain] I s**t myself.
“We had a very long break and I am gassed to be back. I was bored out of my brains.
“Somehow I missed you. It is a lovely change. I genuinely love doing these shows and it is the highlight of my week. I was desperate to get back. It is a whole new meaning.”
MIMI WEBB’s debut album Amelia only came out in March but she is already hard at work on the follow-up.
She has been writing tunes with top producer Lostboy, who helped create Kylie Minogue‘s comeback track Padam Padam.
In an exclusive chat, Mimi said: “I’m back in the studio figuring out what I want to do next.
“For me, it’s about spending as much time as I can in the studio.”
Rob’s team Wight on hand to protect him
HE was the top headliner at Barclaycard Presents Isle of Wight, and it seems Robbie Williams was taking no risks with the enormous crowd.
Insiders revealed the Angels star brought in his own security team to look after him last night for the performance.
A source said: “Robbie’s set was the biggest at IoW festival and he was champing at the bit to get on stage.
“It was a massive moment and he even brought in his own security.
“He flew to the IoW after his last tour performance in Holland, so he was on a massive music high.”
Elsewhere at the festival, Sam Ryder made an impression after playing a secret set on the Barclaycard Amp Stage.
A source said: “Sam spent time backstage chatting to all the production staff and fans.
“He was so down to earth.”
The Sugababes also took to the stage for a secret gig and performed their classics including Red Dress and Hole In The Head.
Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy also performed a storming set on the main stage.
ELLIE GOULDING had me asking, “Where’s Dorothy?” with this Tin Man-inspired outfit.
The Love Me Like You Do singer appeared to have taken inspiration from the creaky character from The Wizard Of Oz as she sang at the Werchter Boutique Festival in Belgium.
Ellie wore a silver top with metallic trousers for the performance, which was watched by tens of thousands of people.
She is normally a very natty dresser, but those baggy bottoms aren’t for me.
A HOST of stars have come together to raise funds for The Brain Tumour Charity with a massive auction.
Organised by Antiques Roadshow expert Theo Burrell, who was diagnosed with aggressive grade 4 glioblastoma last summer, celebrities including Paolo Nutini and Ben Whishaw have offered their time to fans to get the cash flowing in.
Kind-hearted Paolo is giving away two Latitude Festival tickets and a meet- and-greet with him, while Ben is offering a specially recorded video for fans.
Adam Kay is offering a Michelin-star dinner with him, as well as tickets to his new tour, while ITV has offered backstage passes to meet the stars of The Chase and visit The Masked Dancer set.
