I live in an RV with my kids – I transformed a tent into my private space with a flat-screen TV and fully stocked fridge
AN adventurous RV-living mom turned her tent into the ultimate private – and posh – space.
Originally meant for her kids, the transformed tent now serves as her own sanctuary.
“We got this outdoor tent for the kids because we just wanted them to have a little bit of extra space and a cool place to hang out with their friends,” said Jess, one half of (@family.of.nomads).
After they made a mess of things, Jess decided to clean up the tent and turn it into something for herself: office space.
Out went the kids’ clothes and other items and in went her own favorites including a flat-screen TV and a fully-stocked fridge.
The traveling brood didn’t seem to mind as Jess explained “the kids honestly play outside all day long, and they didn’t really use this tent as much as I thought that they would.”
She confided that she had wanted a space of her own where “it’s not super loud or I don’t have to be stuck inside,” she said.
The mom also wanted to set the record straight on her RV life.
“I know we get a lot of crap about living in a small space, but honestly, we really only use the camper for sleeping in.”
Instead, their days are mostly spent enjoying the outdoors.
Some followers were still left confused about the family’s traveling situation.
“They have friends?! And why can’t they clean it on their own,” asked one inquisitive viewer.
Jess quipped back: “Of course they have friends. A lot of people travel just like we do.”
Others were simply in awe of the space, with one writing: “That tent is really cool.”
“We love it so much,” Jess agreed.
Now that she had her own personal space, Jess wasn’t playing games when it came to doing things her way.
“When I was done fixing everything up, I went to the store and restocked the fridge with my favorite drinks.”
