HE is best known for going undercover as Ethan Hunt in the Mission: Impossible films.
And Tom Cruise pulled off another brilliant deception as he mingled with the public during a top-secret date with his Russian girlfriend.
Insiders revealed the Hollywood superstar and Elsina Khayrova put on their best disguises to visit London’s festive Winter Wonderland.
It features an ice rink, fairground rides and a Bavarian-style beer hall.
A source said: “With all their millions, Tom and Elsina can live the high life and never have to be near the public.
“But since they’ve been in London, they have been going out and about without anyone noticing them.
“Last week they went on a secret date to Winter Wonderland so they could see the attractions.
“It is a really romantic spot for couples — and Tom and Elsina blended in perfectly.
“He had people on hand to ensure they could be whisked away if they were spotted but no one batted an eyelid.
“They walked around all the attractions and took it all in, just like everyone else.”
Tom and Elsina are gearing up for their first Christmas as a couple after their romance was made public earlier this month.
He has pulled out all the stops to impress Elsina, and on Friday hired the entire floor of Novikov in Mayfair — one of London’s poshest restaurants — in a bid to impress her.
Socialite Elsina is the daughter of Russian MP Rinat Khayrov and was first seen with Tom at a dinner dance in the capital a few weeks ago.
Like Tom, she has had her share of high-profile romances and she was also embroiled in a messy split from diamond tycoon Dmitry Tsvetkov three years ago.
The pair, who were married for a decade and lived in a £22million mansion in Surrey, saw their divorce play out in the High Court, where Elsina was accused of trying to hide a stash of her designer handbags.
We’re sure Tom could buy her a few more.
SAM XMAS No1 BATTLE
SAM RYDER is battling Wham! in a fight to score the festive No1.
His Amazon exclusive track You’re Christmas To Me is at No2 after two days of sales, only 42 copies behind Last Christmas.
Sam has kicked things into overdrive promoting the track, performing on a bus which was turned into Santa’s grotto and driven on to London’s South Bank on Saturday.
The previous evening he had also sung the tune on TV’s The One Show as he launched his full charm offensive.
But Wham!’s team have also upped the ante by re-releasing Last Christmas on vinyl.
They due are way ahead of Mariah Carey who is at No3 with All I Want For Christmas Is You.
Despite being an early favourite at the bookies, Creator Universe, a group of British TikTok stars, are only at No11 with I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday.
And although there were hopes that the Pogues would top the charts with Fairytale Of New York following frontman Shane MacGowan’s death last month, it is at No5 according to the latest figures.
In total, Noah Kahan’s Stick Season and Jack Harlow‘s Lovin On Me are the only non-festive hits in the Top 20.
Sam said on Saturday: “Imagine blasting through the sky on a runaway sleigh with a skin full of mulled wine next to the big red guy…That’s my Christmas song.”
With four days still to go, anything could happen.
Rita feels Ora right for next album
RITA ORA says one of her biggest achievements of the year is “making it through emotionally, mentally and physically”.
The Let You Love Me singer says despite still having a schedule that makes me tired just by looking at, she’s tried to put her mental health first and tone down her diary over the past 12 months.
Rita told Spotify of what made her proud in 2023: “Making it through emotionally, mentally and physically.
“I’ve been prioritising my mental health, working out and not being as crazy and focused on other things and trying to stay down a clean path.”
But don’t think that means 2024 will be quiet for Rita, she will be working on her next album in January.
She explained: “I am really excited.
“I just want to keep going now. I just don’t want to stop. I am doing a couple of films next year too.”

MAYA JAMA and Stormzy shared a cheeky kiss as they headed on a night out in Vegas.
The reunited couple enjoyed a night out at the UFC in Sin City as they filmed their PDA – with Maya licking and kissing the rapper’s face.
Flashing a smile for the camera, Stormzy planted a kiss back on his Love Island host girlfriend as she filmed a video for her Instagram.
Safe to say love is in the air for these two.
Two Lov birds
DEMI LOVATO has got engaged to Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes.
The songwriter popped the questions to Cool For The Summer singer Demi in Los Angeles over the weekend, just over a year after going public with their romance.
The intimate proposal happened at one of the couples’ favourite LA restaurants as they were joined by family for an intimate dinner.
The pair confirmed their happy news by posing for photos as Demi showed off her pear-shaped sparkler.
ZO-NING IN TO LONDON
CHANNING TATUM and Zoe Kravitz have celebrated their engagement with a low-key visit to London.
My exclusive snaps show them holding hands on a date in the capital at the weekend.
Onlookers spotted them wandering through Soho, then stopping off for dinner at Dirty Bones, which dishes up American-style comfort food.
One said: “Zoe and Channing looked so happy together and were oblivious to the people around them. They are huge stars but didn’t seem to mind who saw them out and about together.
“It was lovely to see they were able to just head out for dinner like any other young couple.”
Magic Mike star Channing and X-Men: First Class actress Zoe have been together for two years and since their engagement Zoe has been showing off her impressive diamond ring.
Though they like to be low-key, I can imagine their wedding will be a pretty star-studded affair.

YOU read it here first, and now Olly Alexander has confirmed he will represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest next May.
I told last month how the Years & Years singer was in advanced talks to take part in the competition in Malmo, Sweden.
Olly confirmed my tale and said: “I’ve loved watching Eurovision since I was a little kid and I’m beyond excited to be taking part.
“I really can’t believe I’m going to be a part of such a special legacy and fly the flag for the UK in the gayest way possible. It shall be an honour.”
Olly added: “I’ve wanted to do this for a long time and it feels like the right moment to start releasing music under my own name.
“I’m determined to give it everything I’ve got and put on an excellent and unforgettable performance for you all.”
I have no doubt at all that he will smash it.

FORMER boxing champ Chris Eubank has brought out a range of T-shirts called Avoid The Numpties.
Posing in one of the tops, Chris, told me: “This T-shirt is more than just fabric, it’s a powerful reminder to sidestep the pitfalls and rise above all ignorance in your path.
“Avoid the numpties in all walks of life.”
That is something I’ll be taking into the festive season.
