We painted our £1million house in pastel colours… cruel trolls say we’ve totally ‘ruined’ it but we don’t care
A COUPLE who forked out over £1million for their dream home have been mocked after painting it in pastel colours.
Buying a house is no easy task and once you’ve managed to find a property, you’re often keen to give it some more character – which is what Julie Evlorentzen and her ”princess” girlfriend did.
The couple have spent more than a year renovating their dream home[/caption] The once-white bedroom is now like a picturesque sunset[/caption] We’re totally obsessed with the mirror – but not everyone’s a fan[/caption] Some trolls reckon the two have ‘ruined’ the lavish property[/caption]The crafty duo, who first went viral after Julie’s ”flat bum” became a sensation, forked out more than a whopping £1million for their new lavish mansion.
The massive property, they shared on their TikTok page, was purchased a little over a year ago and since then the DIY lovers have been renovating it on an almost daily basis.
Although the house is so massive that there’s still plenty of work to be done, Julie and her partner have been sharing the incredible progress all along.
Instead of the original white walls and plain decor, the colour-loving couple have transformed the rooms each in a totally different colour – but not like one would imagine.
Rather than opting for a monochrome look, the duo have decided to paint the walls – and even the ceilings – in different pastel shades, with their bedroom resembling a picturesque and Instagram-worthy sunset.
Other rooms, meanwhile, have undergone a baby blue makeover with painted daisies, geometrical shapes, a cloudy sky and funky shelves.
The couple have also not forgotten about the little tot who’s about to join the mini family – the baby‘s nursery is pastel blue with skies and hot air balloons.
However, whilst the transformation has been incredible despite it not being completed just yet, Julie revealed that they have faced criticism over the design.
According to the mum-to-be, people have insisted the choice of colours has totally ”ruined” the lavish property.
However, to those who said they’d ”never spend $1.3million on a house only to ruin it with all that colour” Julie had a simple response.
”Then don’t,” she hit back at the meanies in the clip posted on TikTok.
Since being shared on the platform, the makeover video has gone viral, not only winning the duo a whopping 4.5million likes but also thousands of supportive comments.
One said: ”My bf mother is a doctor, she said she hates the white walls at the hospital so she painted every room in her house a different colour.”
A second added: ”That’s a dream house meant for a dream family, congrats.”
Someone else chuckled: ”I COULD NEVER… coz I’m broke.
”Lol but I LOOOOOOOVE YOUR HOUSE THE COLORS AND DETAILS ARE AMAZING [sic].”
”I couldn’t because I would spend it on making my dream goth house but I’m also enjoying your beautiful house,” a fellow DIY fanatic chimed in.
”THAT is a home. The colour gives it a lot of personality,” another agreed.
”The house is beautiful, artistic, and unique. Love it!” a social media user wrote.
