Strictly star in shock health update after life-threatening diagnosis saying ‘I think about my mortality most mornings’
A STRICTLY Come Dancing star has revealed a shock health update after receiving a life-threatening diagnosis.
Susannah Constantine was rushed into emergency surgery last year due to arteriovenous fistula, also known as an abnormal connection between an artery and a vein.

Following the life-saving operation Susannah has now revealed she thinks about her mortality ‘most mornings’.
Appearing on Friday’s Loose Women, the TV star and former Strictly star said she now feels “fine”.
The 61-year-old said: “I feel fine.
“I mean, I did have this mental, this sort of weird neurological disorder and it was life threatening, but you just kind of think, well at my age anyway, you just take these things on board. I think that is one of the huge benefits of getting older.”
Susannah added: “You’re less fearful in some ways and although I do think about my mortality most mornings when I wake up, I’m cool about it.
“I’m in a really happy place. Life is so simple and I’m essentially, I’m primarily a wife and a mother, a housewife who happens to work and that’s exactly how I like it.”
Susannah previously told The Sun how she dismissed symptoms of her condition like pins and needles in her arm.
However, it ultimately led to bleeding into capillaries and affected her spinal cord and brain.
This put her at significant risk of serious complications during surgery.
“I had this thing called an arterial fistula and I still don’t understand what it was, I was very lucky not to have a stroke or be paralysed.
“So I have a total clean bill of health now, thanks to the NHS and surgeons, they set me on the path to health.”
